What does code U010E mean?
Symptoms seen in the workshop
- MIL on
- AdBlue warning on the cluster
- No-start countdown on many Euro 6 vehicles
- No AdBlue level reading
- Limp mode / reduced power
Common causes of code U010E
- AdBlue module removed or unplugged after deleting the SCR system
- Faulty module (often due to moisture or AdBlue crystallisation in the connector)
- No power supply: AdBlue system fuse or relay
- Damaged CAN wiring near the tank
- Module replaced and not coded
Fix by ECU remapping
ECU remapping solution when the SCR system has been removed:
1. AdBlue/SCR OFF (calibration): deactivation of AdBlue management in the engine ECU, CAN supervision of the dosing module and the no-start countdown.
2. DTC OFF: deactivation of U010E and associated codes: P20EE, P207F and any AdBlue tank and heater codes stored by the ECU.
If the system is still fitted, diagnose power supply, connector and module instead: with the SCR still working, disabling U010E does not fix it.
⚠️ Important: Disabling the DTC without the correct calibration of the related system (AdBlue OFF + DTC OFF) is not a valid fix. Both the calibration maps and the diagnostic mask have to be modified.
